New to group!
I am new to the forum and want to say "Hi!". I'm scheduled for Lap Band surgery on May 8, and I'm a nervous wreck! I've never been under general anesthesia before and I'm pretty darn nervous! Any tips or suggestions for the new gal? I know it's ultimately in God's hands, but I'm sure you all have suggestions (like give me drugs as soon as I hit the hospital door) that might help me get through it a little easier?
Just wanted to say hi and welcome,

A big and warm welcome to you! I'm having surgery on Tuesday, so we're close in our surgery date. I had a really nervous day last week and was very emotioinal, but thankfully it passed and I'm really looking forward to surgery now. It's totally normal to be having all kinds of feelings before surgery. I'll keep you in my prayers and I'm sure you'll come through with flying colors. We're here for you!
WELCOME!! I am pretty new to. I am still trying to get through all my pre-op appointments. It seems to take forever! I see you are having the Lapband. I am curious as to what made you choose it. I am still going back and forth between lapband and RNY. One day I am sure I want to do the RNY, the next day I decide no, I want to go with lapband. I'm driving myself crazy!
